Roel Winkels

Senior low-code software engineer | Scrummaster | Thinkwise | Azure developer | C# en .NET Core

Roel has more than ten years of experience in model driven development within low-code environments. At Thinkwise, he worked on platform critical components of a multi-tier low-code platform, focusing on both backend architecture and user experience. He helped build an abstract RESTful API between interfaces and client databases, working with OData, routing, caching, controllers, and async patterns in C# and .NET Core, including structural unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability and scalability. He also developed integrations with the Microsoft Graph API via OAuth and scheduled synchronization flows, and improved UI components for Windows, web, mobile, and the current React application.

Alongside his engineering role, Roel served as Scrum Master for three teams for over six years and actively coached engineers in their growth. Since May 2024, he has held a team manager role, using his experience in engineering and agile collaboration to strengthen teams in delivery and quality.

In his recent work, he has broadened his profile with Microsoft Azure across the board. This includes cloud native development, setting up and managing container platforms with Kubernetes on Azure, and working with multiple Azure components around deployment, security, governance, and monitoring.
